Detective Sgt. Kevin Scott has concluded the investigation of an individual using fraudulent information for registration purposes at the Navarro County Tax Accessor Collectors office. Sgt. Scott was alerted by employees of the Tax Office last week of an individual suspected of using or attempting to use fraudulent information to register vehicles. Yesterday afternoon Sgt. Scott was contacted by a courthouse security officer and tax office employee advising that the individual was back at location attempting to register vehicles. Sgt. Scott located the individual and after reviewing documents found in his possession that were allegedly being used or attempted to be used for registering vehicles he was detained for criminal investigation. Sgt. Scott immediately obtained three felony warrants for fraudulent use/possession of identifing information elderly, tampering with government records, false name or information and forgery for vehicle registration.
