This morning about 8am C.P.D. dispatched a bolo broadcast of a stolen vehicle from Garland that was possibly in Corsicana. At about 8:15 am Deputy Bates observed the stolen vehicle near the intersection of West Highway 31 and 45th street. Deputy Bates followed the stolen vehicle until Navarro College PD officer David Arnett arrived to assist. The vehicle was stopped on S 38th near West 2nd avenue. Deputy Bates arrested the driver for a parole violation warrant and over 4 grams of methamphetamine was also located. Suspected burglar tools were also located in the vehicle. The driver has now admitted to committing burglaries in Navarro County and surrounding counties. Detectives are conducting follow up investigations. Good job Deputy Bates.
