Deputy Hollifield conducted a Traffic Stop

On 10-8-24 Deputy Hollifield conducted a traffic stop for an observed violation in the 800 block of East highway 31 in Kerens.

During the contact Deputy Hollifield requested and was granted consent to perform a search of the vehicle.

During the search he located an eye glasses case inside the vehicle containing 14 baggies of what appeared to be crack cocaine, baggies containing a razor blade, used baggies and a container with suspected cocaine residue inside.

Deputy Hollifield performed a field test of the suspected crack cocaine which revealed a positive field test for cocaine.

The crack cocaine had a total weight of approximately 3.3 grams.

The subject was arrested and booked into the Navarro County Justice Center for manufacture/ delivery of controlled substance over 1 under 4 grams.
