Welfare concern leads to narcotics seizure and arrest.
On Wednesday, December 18th, Deputy Cotton was patrolling on East Highway 31 near Powell when he observed a vehicle parked on the side of the highway with the hazards lights flashing. Deputy Cotton stopped to see if he could assist and upon contact with the driver, an odor of alcohol was detected emitting from his breath.
The subsequent investigation led to alcohol, paraphernalia and approximately 14 grams of methamphetamine being seized.
Great job Deputy Cotton.
