Stolen Trailers Update:

On Tuesday, March 18 about 07:50 am I received a call from a concerned citizen who had seen the social media post about the theft and wanted to report information about the stolen trailers. The caller stated that he had seen the stolen trailers on Sunday, March 16th at about 10:30 am at the intersection of NE 2120 and Hwy 31 at Powell. The caller advised that the trailers went East towards Kerens on Hwy 31.

The caller also gave a partial description of the suspect and the pickup he was using to pull the 16' flatbed trailer. On Monday, March 24th the Henderson County Sheriffs Office reported they had recovered the stolen dump trailer at a location in Henderson County. Detectives from the NCSO along with CID officers from DPS responded to the location where the trailer was recovered and they also located additional stolen items from the original theft.

A person of interest has been identified and the criminal investigation is ongoing at this time. Thank you to the Henderson County Sheriff's Office and DPS criminal investigation division for their assistance.
